Baby`s Own Art

"Colour bath" is baby`s own art. Baby could get to know all the colors and paint when theres safe materials on the paper. Like dessert cream and others...

Kasmir liked very much doing this painting, when he was a baby. First he painted on his feet and then with his hands. Then he get lying on the paper and everything on it. :D

Today was supposed to start this art thing with Niki on childrens art school. But there were not enough babies that it could have started. It was annoying, but then we decided to do it on our own. We had color chancing lamps and Kasmir had soap bubbles. 

So, we did the same things as in the Kasmir`s art course and  I found on internet also more ideas how others had done this kind of painting at home with kids. First i dropped on paper blueberry mash, then cold blueberries, potato flour and warm blueberry dessert cream.

I think next time we try paint on yellow things like mango cubes and oranges. Niki could also tried paint on his feet. =) 

Baby`s First Parties

Baby become 6 month old in this week! So its means first "birthday parties". When Kasmir was baby, and become 6 month old, i had first birhtday parties for him too, so now its Niki`s turn. The day before saturday we get everything that we need for baking.

Kasmir made blueperry muffins at his little brothers parties. :) I thought I would do so in the future, that both of my boys could bake something in others parties. =)

They were good and very blueberryish. x) 

I bake a cake for the party. It was filled with cream, strawberry jam, and banana pieces. I cheated on cake makeing, because i bought a ready cake base from the store. :D

I was not happy with the shape and height of the cake, but i havent got time make more cake in the oven, so when we went to do some finally shopping before baby swimming class, i bought ready cake base. I make them shape and height at the cake. It looks exactly like that at home baker done it quicly. :D But it was colourful. :) 

I also made paprika cheese muffins. The original recipe had spinach and red onion, but i don`t put them into these muffins. Those were good and i deffinately make them again.

The parties was nice and the baby was awake too almost all the time. 

There were also dog at the party. Our older cat goes somewhere hiding during the party. :D It was so nice to see all those who was here and i took lots of photos. They are wonderful memories and when Niki gets older, he could see those photos too. (:

Our Weekend at Oulu, Koitelinkosket

We left to the Oulu at early morning by train. It was a first time when i took prams with me to another town. They got on a buss in the summer, but never in the train before. We have been in Sweden with Kasmir, and many times at Finnish cities, but Kasmir has always walked by himself. >When there is a little person, who is not even sitting yet, prams were deffinately had to take with us.

At first i doubt how its going to be, when i took the prom at the train..where i keep them,..is it difficult to travel with them.. But now, i realized that its much more easier to go anywhere with baby. You can also easily carry your own bags with them.

Kasmir took care of his own backpack. While waiting for the train, i asked the conductor, for more information. I get necessary instructions and the conductor helped me get the pram on and off the train.

When we were there we got straight to get some coffee and baked goods at Mira Poppins and play in the playground.

There is a place in Oulu called Koitelinkosket. On Saturday we had picnic at there. I can warmly recommend you go there. Lovely place to enjoy  nature and water. The flow of water is soothing.

on Sunday we went to for a walk to Pikisaari. First we went to eat at the Pannukakkutalo. Its a restaurant where you can eat salty and sweet pancakes. Its near Oulus library and Pannukakkutalo. Pikisaari mainly living artists and craftmen. 

Picture had taken, at the old wool factory, where is artists workspaces. 

At Sunday we also get back to home. The train conductor helped me again.

It`s nice to see how helpful and friendly people are in the world. Often when you are somewhere with kids they asked if we need help if we had lot of stuff with us or they wanna  give their own place at the line, that my childrens could go faster at the toilet. There is lot of good in this world :)

Hiekkasärkät , Kalajoki, Finland

We left at ten in the morning to spend a summer trip at the spa and water park at the Kalajoki. Its about an hours drive away from our town. When we arrived there, we didn`t get our room immediately, we had to wait an hour. There was a room by the reception and we left our luggage`s there and we went to the beach, eating and just walking around there.

We walked at there where was the kids traffic park. Kasmir was allowed to drive half and hour (because that was the driving time, costs 6€) a pedal car and a small ABC- truck.

We walked around the beach and it was still warm even whit the wind. There is a wooden "road" that you can walk even with the prams. Its really refreshing to breathe the sea air.

We ate hamburgers and went to the shop got something to drink before we left to the kids traffic park and beach. 

About 2`o clock we got back to the hotel to check in and take our stuff to the hotel room. The room had sea view and it was nice to look in the night. I don`t always fall asleep to see the sea and the lighthouse shining somewhere.

we went eating at the ABC when we had left our bags to the hotel room. I love pizza and hamburgers and we propably ate hundred of them on our trip, but now i wasnt on that mood to want greasy food. There were lighter option, and i was absolutely happy. I took sprouts, carrots and cauliflowers. I also took 2 soya steaks. Food was so delicious <3 When Kasmir had eaten his hamburger, he went playing on the playground.

When we got back to the hotel. we left whole group at the spa. It was Nicks first time at the spa. Niki loves a lot of water. And there was so warm at the spa that he really likes his time in there with mum. Others were lowering at the water slide. 

I had not used the swimsuit for years, always a bikini, but for this trip i bought a new swimsuit (and new bikinis :D!) 

At the spa and swimming baths its brilliant to take a baby carrier, so it `s much more easier to change clothes and take a shower before going to the spa. 

Two hours went by quickly, and then the spa also closed. Straight to the spa we went to get some food and Subway was only one still open. We ordered breads and went out to eat. There is a pirate ship in the hotel yard where Kasmir was playing long before we wen to the hotel room to sleep. 

Niki woke up five in the morning, he never wake up so early, but he must be excited when he was in a strange place. Half past seven we went out together with him and walk in the woods and on the beach.

 

We were out for a couple of hours and when we got back to the hotel we went straight to the breakfast. The breakfasts at the hotel are incredible. Porridge, berries, natural yoghurt, apple cinnamone mysli, firstborn had cereal, little buns and cookies. There were fun little pancakes. I am interesting at baeing, and i wonder how are they made. they tasted like small pancakes but were small balls. :D 

When we had eat breakfast we went to the spa and we swam there for couple of hours. After the spa trip the whole group went to Jukupark. We didn`t have to walk very long because the Jukupark is right next to the hotel. Unfortunately, there were not many hot days in this summer. Even now the weather was very windy, so we wonder that the day will get cold in the water park. But when we had pay our tickets and entered at the park, we noticed that there was warm.

There was a circular car that went back and forth, but Kasmir did not dare to came there with me, so we adults went to drive with it. We also glide the water slide. Kasmir enjoyed his time in the park and squaked in the water. There were bounce places were Kasmir jumped and water guns that were supposed to shoot the soccer balls on the finish line. That was pretty difficult to me. :D But i get every ball on their own places. Niki  slept almost all the time. For a while, he was awake and hanging with me at the benches.

Our last hour before closing time we spent to play minigolf. Then we got to eat some pizza at the new mall. 

At saturday morning , we planned to go swimming on morning, but we noticed that the spa wasn`t

open on weekend mornings, only wednesday to friday.

 We went walking at the hotel yard, and then we bought hot chocolate and coffee at the reception. We sat in the lounge chairs to drink them. We went to the indoor playground about half an hour to play, before we went to the breakfast.

All four of us went to get breakfast (except Niki, he ate his own food at the playground before us) . I repeat myself, but. I love hotel breakfasts. <3

12 at noon we give our hotel keys back to the reception and our room supposed to be empty then. Before that, i slept little nap. Theres a Meriluontokeskus, at the hotel SaniFani. Its a museum about marine nature, plants living now and in the past. The exhibition was on three floors. It was free entry. There was an elevator to get from floor to floor. I was having a trouble wit the button at first. Cause it had to be pressed continuoysly while moving from floor to other.

Our last day we spent in the Camping area. We ate delicious food and enjoyed the warm day. Luckily there was so warm days. There were restaurant at the end of the Camping area, and there was bouncing castle and slide to children`s. There are also Adventure park Pakka, were Kasmir jumped about 5 minutes on a giant trampoline. 

Our trip was so nice and its deffinately worth experiencing. Trip is often remembered afterwards. I didnt notice how the sun was shining during the day because of the wind. The tan became completely unnoticeable. Always remember lotions to protect your skin not to burn unnecessarily. Before our bus had even  left back to Kokkola, we  talked that we would come here for a second time.
